CSF Scholars and other leadership summit attendees with Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett of the Seattle Seahawks
Nine CSF Scholars from Seattle Public Schools and Kent School District attended the 2019 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week Leadership Summit on Dec. 6.
The leadership summit, held at Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, was part of the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week program which seeks to cultivate student athlete leaders in athletics, academics, and community action. In addition to hearing from a panel of leaders in business, sports and community, the students got to attend a Seahawks practice and meet some of their favorite players and coaches.
Two CSF Scholars—Kentridge High School senior Alonso and Rainier Beach High School senior Regina—were named High School Athlete of the Week by the Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. and KIRO Radio. Both students were recognized for their dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance with an assembly at their schools and on the field during a Seahawks home game.
Special thanks to the Seahawks for providing this amazing opportunity for our students!
